English as a Second Language (ESL) PROGRAM

ABOUT English as a Second Language (ESL) PROGRAM

NEW’s ESL program is designed to help learners enhance or acquire official language skills, enabling them to actively participate in Canadian society and succeed in the labour market.

By integrating employment-related content into the curriculum, our program ensures that learners are well-prepared for job opportunities and successful integration into their new communities.

The ESL classes teach learners English using the four language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Classes are offered at beginner (CLB 2-4), intermediate and advanced (CLB 5+), and workplace (CLB 6+) levels. They are delivered in person, online, and through hybrid learning models.
