What you need to know

Youth Job Connection Summer (YJCS) provides summer, part-time and after-school job opportunities to high school students, aged 15 to 18, who are facing challenging life circumstances and may need support transitioning between school and work. 

You’re eligible for the Youth Job Connection Summer program if …

  • You’re between the ages of 15-18.

  • A high-school student who plans to stay or return to school or go on to postsecondary education.

  • The program is also for indigenous youth, recent immigrants, young people with disabilities or youths with limited work experience, or limited schooling. 

  • A permanent resident, Canadian citizen, or have conventional refugee status. 

  • Not enrolled at another Employment Ontario Agency.

  • Haven’t taken our YJCS program within 12 months.
