We are looking for experienced Operations Officers to provide a support to our clients in the banking sector. We recruit on full time contract roles that often have the possibility of permanent conversion/contract extension.

Our ideal candidate is and organized team player with strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail and excellent computer skills. Banking/Finance experience is a strong asset.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Performing general to specialized transactions and/or other processing activities
  • Reviewing and authenticating documents, processing and liquidation of portfolios including assets and liabilities
  • Supporting partner relationships and maintaining operational effectiveness to ensure business objectives are met
  • Providing a high level of administrative support to our business partners ensuring the optimal level of customer service and professionalism
  • Manage efficiently in a multi-tasked environment and ensure deadlines are met
  • Apply appropriate due diligence ensuring accuracy in preparing and promptly completing all required supporting documentation (i.e. reports, payments, invoices, correspondence/communications, data entry, files, etc.)
  • Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality, escalate where appropriate
  • Act as a point of contact for customer queries; Provide subject matter expertise for internal and external parties
  • Work closely in a team environment in order to meet individual and team driven benchmarks and service level agreements
  • Utilize existing data entry skills ensuring speed and accuracy are balanced out
  • Ability to make decisions in order to mitigate loss
  • Actively provide continuous improvement suggestions and communicate value added input during meetings
  • Actively participate in developing, testing and implementing new or enhanced processes and other process improvement initiatives  

Qualifications:

  • 1-4 years of Banking/Finance or relevant experience
  • Auditing/Documentation Experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of Global, WSS, Murex, Calypso, Oracle, MM, FX, Claim Centre, As400 is an asset
  • VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros and VBA proficiency are considered a strong asset
  • Mutual Funds/Credit/Mortgage experience is a strong asset
  • Accounts Payable, Accounting, Reconcilations & Payroll is an asset
  • Strong relationship management skills and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills  
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented  
  • Ability to adapt to changing policies and procedures  
  • Bilingual French is a strong asset

Must Haves: 

  • Excellent MS Office: Word, Outlook, Excel
  • Strong Communication Skills (written and oral)
  • Team player
  • Positive attitude and great interpersonal skills

Education:

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree is required
