Our client provides leadership and expertise in excavation, demolition, shoring and soil retention systems, and engineered designs for major construction projects, including high-rise residential, commercial, and heavy civil projects. The group includes four divisions: Civil, Demolition, Excavation, and Shoring.

Job Duties

  • Coordinate equipment rentals for all divisions; maintain log of all rented equipment; distribute report detailing all rentals; monitor group rental costs and recommend methods to limit rental costs
  • Perform vendor research to ensure appropriate products/services are purchased at competitive prices, participate in RFQ’s
  • Monitor market trends and pricing movements to achieve competitive advantage in marketplace
  • Compiling, tracking and logging costs of capital expenditures
  • Update, revise, and format reports relating to procurement performance, compliance, and various spend analyses
  • Monitor and coordinate equipment delivery timelines and communicate with applicable operating divisions, holding suppliers accountable to delivery commitments
  • Liaise with sites and supplier partners to analyze and implement solutions that meet specific needs of each location
  • Update, revise, and format reports relating to procurement performance, compliance, and various spend analyses
  • Assist in support of operations and accounting through procurement – primarily generating purchase orders, appropriate coding and data entry associated with all purchasing
  • Job duties may be modified over time depending on the needs of the needs of the business


  • Strong Technical aptitude and experience with Heavy Equipment and Heavy Trucks an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with heavy experience in Microsoft Excel
  • Possess good analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Possess self-discipline with the ability to effectively prioritize
  • Maintain strong working relationships with all levels of management and non-management personnel
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional and positive manner
