Be a part of a team that will foster and inspire an interest in technology. As a digital implementation coordinator you will be provided requisite training where needed to be able to coordinate programs for children, youth or seniors in order to provide exposure to technology.
Using a partly peer mentorship program to bridge the technology gap you will be guided to ensure requisite digital foundational exposure to young girls, women, newcomers and other underrepresented groups within this sphere, while building leadership, confidence, collaboration and management skills within yourself and those you are training.
Digital Coordination Programs
- The Youth Programs will focus on providing career guidance and exposure to technology career paths.
- For Children’s programs, coordination will consist of providing a play based introduction to the digital world and may include Robotics and use of other tangible and easily understood tools to convey digital concepts and provide exposure.
- Computer Science and technology students may opt to create a project that forms an introduction to technology. Training will otherwise be provided and a collaborative effort made to immerse the coordinator within the digital environment.
- The Seniors Program will focus on orienting seniors to basic applications and social media. This may involve general interest group topics as well as one on one guidance.
All youth who are inspired with this mission to both learn and impart knowledge, collaborate with their peers to create and coordinate these digital foundations programs are encouraged to apply and need not have a technology background.
